Who Is Eligible for Free IVF or IUI Treatment?

1. Legal residency in Ireland
2. Referral from a GP to a Regional Fertility Hub
3. Female partner’s BMI between 18.5 and 30.0
4. Female partner under 41 years old; male partner under 60
5. At least one partner must not have a living child
6. Stable relationship of at least 1 year
7. No previous more-than-one fully completed IVF cycle
8. No history of voluntary sterilisation
9. Well-being assessment approval

*Donor-assisted treatments (using donor sperm or donor eggs) are currently not funded under the HSE scheme. Sims IVF can provide these services privately. *

How to Apply for HSE-Funded IVF at Sims IVF

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to accessing HSE-funding at Sims IVF:

1. Visit your GP to begin fertility investigations and review criteria.
2. If you meet the criteria, your GP will refer you to a Regional Fertility Hub.
3. If advanced fertility treatment is required, the Hub consultant will refer you to Sims IVF or another approved provider.

You cannot self-refer for publicly funded fertility care directly to a clinic; your journey must begin with a GP referral to a HSE Hub.

Yes! If you're not eligible for the public scheme or require donor-assisted reproduction, you can still benefit from:
