Dr Batwala graduated from the University of Leeds in Medicine and Surgery with Honours in Biochemistry in 2001.
He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) London in 2009 and became a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 2013.
From 2014 -2016, he was a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, Institute of Reproductive Sciences (IRS) and undertook a Masters of Science by Research (MSc by Research) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Quality of Life of Fertility patients.
He a member of the British Fertility Society (BFS) and a recognised BFS trainer in Management of the Infertile Couple, Pelvic Scanning, Fertility Preservation in Cancer, Male Fertility, Embryo transfer and IUI, Donor Conception and Surrogacy and Pre-implantation Genetic Testing (PGT).
From 2014-2018 Dr Batwala held the role of Lead Consultant in a number of prestigious London clinics. Most recently, he was Medical Director at an IVF clinic in London.
Dr Batwala was inspired to become an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist after witnessing the joy of delivering a child while a 4th year medical student in Leeds. During his time working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology he encountered a significant number of people who had difficulty realising their desire to become parents. As a result, his prime focus is to help those who need assistance in conceiving. He has a specialist interest in mild stimulation, treating women with low-ovarian reserve and Pre-implantation Genetic Testing (PGT).
He joined the Sims IVF family in 2021. He has a kind, considerate and holistic approach to managing his patients. He believes in empowering his patients in decision making regarding their care and management by explaining their diagnosis, options of management and alternatives.
