We are seeking to recruit a Junior Fertility Nurse/Midwife to join our nursing team to work as a key part of a multidisciplinary IVF team to provide excellent patient care for individuals and couples in all aspects of fertility treatment.

 

As the pioneers of Assisted Reproduction in Ireland, Sims Group continue to lead key developments in IVF treatment protocols and embryology advancements to ensure patients have access to the latest evidence-based treatments and laboratory techniques. Sims Group offer a large range of services and individualised care to our couples with approximately 2,500 cycles of ART treatment per year including IUI, IVF, ICSI, FET and surgical sperm retrieval. The Sims Group are part of Virtus Health and our Irish clinics are located at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, Sims Clinic, Clonskeagh, Dublin and the Sims Clinic in Cork.
 

Summary of Role

The key objective of the Junior Fertility Nurse/Midwife role is to work as a key part of a multidisciplinary IVF team to provide excellent patient care for individuals and couples in all aspects of fertility treatment. Patient care must be the priority of every RGN/RM working in the Sims clinic. The patient must be at the centre of everything the Junior Fertility nurse does.

The role requires the job holder to maximise all training provided to become a competent Fertility Nurse/Midwife. Key responsibilities include the achievement of excellence in patient care, investigation consultation, scheduling of treatment, phlebotomy, ultrasound scanning, pre and post-operative care and telephone counselling.

Educational / Registration Requirements/Professional Experience


Academic/Professional Qualifications

                           ·          Qualified Registered Nurse and/or Qualified Registered Midwife


Registrations

                           ·          Current INMB Registration   


Relevant Experience

                           ·          2 Years post registration experience ideally in women’s health


Languages

                           ·          English language  - Advanced level - written and verbal

 

Working Hours are Monday to Friday, occasional weekend and out of hours work may be required.
