Beppi O’ Connor - Senior Staff Nurse

Beppi completed her general training in 1986 in St. Georges Hospital, Sydney. She proceeded to study midwifery at the same unit alongside a Diploma in Remedial Massage. She worked for two and a half years in the field of midwifery until she was invited to set up a day surgery unit which she ran for seven years. Beppi began her career in IVF working in a private clinic in Sydney where she held a post as staff nurse for over three years gaining valuable experience. Complementing her nursing skills, Beppi has also completed a year’s course in Counselling and is a trained Montessori teacher.
After 22 years Beppi has returned to Dublin with her family and joined the Sims nursing team in June 2004.

Deirdre Gorman - Staff Nurse

Deirdre attended school at Muckross Park College in Donnybrook where she developed an interest in nursing. After school she completed a Diploma in Nursing through UCD and St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Deirdre graduated in 2001 and worked for 18 months in a general medical and surgical unit. She then moved to the Coombe Women’s Hospital in Dublin where she trained as a midwife and qualified with a H.Dip from the Coombe and UCD in 2005.
Deirdre worked for over a year in the Delivery Suite and joined the Sims Clinic in June 2006 to further her interest and education in women’s health and fertility.

Pavlina Svarcova - Staff Nurse

Pavlina obtained her Nursing Diploma from the Higher Medical School in Prague in June 2002. In January 2003 she joined ISCARE Private IVF unit in Prague. Her main functions at this unit were running the pre and post-operation care units and assisting during cases. She was also responsible for communicating with patients, co-ordinating and managing their care plans.

Kathy Brickell – Egg Donation Co-ordinator

On completion of her nurse training in St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1992, Kathy spent 2 years in general medical, surgical and liver transplant units. Then she left Ireland for a year working in the United Arab Emirates returning to work for 3 years in Mount Carmel Hospital. Then she focussed on Intensive Care in the Mater Hospital, Dublin for 6 years followed by 2 years as a Nurse Specialist.

Kathy holds a diploma in Health Services Management and has extensive experience in administration. She will be utilizing these skills in her responsibility for coordinating and liaising with donors and recipient couples on the various egg donation programmes at Sims.

Alicia Fogarty - Staff Nurse

Alicia went to England in 1995 to pursue nursing and completed her adult nurse training at South Bank University, Essex in 1998 with a diploma. She spent the next 2 years working in acute surgery and palliative care. Then she diverged into Trauma and HDU at the London hospital for 4 years.

Alicia began her career in IVF working at the CRM (Centre for Reproductive Medicine) at Bartholomew’s Hospital in London where she held a post as a Nurse Co-ordinator for over 3 years gaining valuable experience in fertility nursing. After 12 years in London, Alicia decided to come home to Ireland and joined the Sims nursing team in October 2007.

 

   

Caroline Minnock - Staff Nurse

Caroline received her education through St George's Hospital Medical School & Kingston University, Southwest London, graduating with a Higher Diploma in Nursing Studies in 1999. She then gained experience in an acute surgical setting.

Caroline returned to Ireland in 2000 where she worked at St James's Hospital, Dublin in the Acute Medical Admissions Unit. Then in 2003 she began working with a Medical Company specialising in cardiology equipment where she gained experience in training customers nationwide. She had the opportunty to work in a theatre in a fertility clinic, which led to her developing a keen interest in this area. Caroline joined Sims in July 2008.

Ileana David - Theatre Nurse

Ileana graduated in 1996 at the Nursing & Midwifery College 'Carol Davila' in Romania, Ilean worked in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology depatrment as a Theatre Nurse until 2005. She also worked as a Senior Nurse in ‘Veselu Srl’ Gynaecology Clinic on a part time basis.


Then she moved to the UK to work with young people with intellectual disabilities. In 2007, Ileana then moved to Ireland to work in a Nursing Home and is currently studying for an MSc in Nursing & Midwifery. She joined Sims Clinic in November 2008.

   

 

Ciara Bourke - Staff Nurse

On completion of her Dip. in Nursing through Cork University Hospital and UCC in 2001, Ciara worked for 3 years in both surgical and medical units while completing her BSc in Nursing Studies. Following this Ciara travelled to Australia for a year where she worked in a variety of clinical settings.


On returning to Ireland, Ciara worked for a further 2 years in CUH on an Acute Admissions ward before proceeding to complete a Higher Diploma in Midwifery at the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin, in 2009.

Ciara joined the Sims Clinic in June 2009 to progress her interest and career in the field of women’s health and fertility.

Trish O'Regan - Staff Nurse

Trish attended University College Cork where she spent four years studying to obtain a BSc Nursing. After graduating in 2007 she spent 6 months working in an acute medical unit in Cork University Hospital.  She then went travelling and spent 1 year working in various clinical fields around Australia.

On her return, Trish joined the Assisted Reproduction & Gynaecology Centre in London, a leading unit in assisted reproduction. There she gained experience working as an IVF nurse.

Trish joined Sims Clinic in Nov 2009 to continue her experience and education in fertility.

Terence Binas - Care Assistant

Terence holds a BSc in Physical Therapy from the Iliolo Doctors College in the Philippines.

She has worked in Ireland as a Care Assistant for 6 years before joining Sims Clinic in October 2008.

   

Leandra Morris - Administrative Assistant

Leandra joined the SIMS team on the 1st of December 2008 as an Administrative Assistant, having previously worked as an office administrator for several years within a leading law firm in Dublin.

Leandra attended D.I. T., Aungier Street in Dublin where she successfully obtained a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations and she is currently in the process of completing her Degree in Marketing at D. I. T. Aungier Street. Leandra has also completed a Pitman Qualification in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, providing her with an excellent level of IT skills.

Leandra is responsible for the day to day general office administration duties within the Nursing Department.

Sally Ann Boyd - Administrative Assistant

Sally-Ann joined the Sims team in September 2009 as a Clerical Assistant having an extensive knowledge in banking and travel administration. Sally-Ann has completed a business course in Rathmines Business College.


Sally-Ann is proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft packages which are used throughout her work. Sally-Ann is responsible for the day to day general clinic and office administration duties within Sims.
